BRICS
Overview
BRICS brings together countries that occupy intermediate positions in the international system and one candidate superpower, China. The grouping works as a platform from which its members negotiate, at the same time, their place within the existing order and the terms of its transformation. Cohesion among them is limited and variable, which unfolds the analysis in this area of research into three dimensions: (i) the strategies through which each member positions itself within the group; (ii) the political dynamics within the group; and (iii) the group's impact on international politics.
